Emma Bowden BVSC MRCVS
Emma qualified from Bristol veterinary school in 2000. She worked in a mixed practice in Somerset and then in a small animal practice in London before joining us in December 2012. Emma started as a temporary maternity cover and we liked her so much, we made her stay. Emma has a cat named Hank, in her spare time she is likes running, and attending festivals.
Michelle Cook DVM MRCVS
Michelle obtained a degree from Agricultural College before working as a Press Officer at the British Veterinary Association in London. She qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2005 from sunny Grenada in the West Indies, completing her rotations at the Royal Veterinary College. She worked at another veterinary Practice in the Sheffield area before joining Thompsons in June 2011. Her household includes 14 beautiful Koi, a rescue cat, a re-homed hamster and a rehabilitated hedgehog that hibenates under the shed!
Sue Hardy BVM&S MRCVS
Sue joined us in February 2009 after working at various small animal practices in the area. She qualified in 1994 from Edinburgh University. Sue has two children, one Border Collie called flint and one cat called Jasper who she rescued from the practice. She also has a horse called Hero. Taking care of her children and animals takes up a lot of her spare time however when she is free she creates beautiful paintings.
Amy Reynolds BVetMed MRCVS
Amy is the newest member of our team. She qualified as a vet from the Royal Veterinary College, London in July and moved back to Derby to work for us! Amy has a keen interest in exotics (as well as cats, dogs and small furries) and hopes to do a certificate in exotic animal medicine one day. Amy has a pet African hedgehog called snoopy and a cat called Marlo. Outside of work she loves playing netball and musical instruments.
